About Robert Thompson               
Following graduation from Wilfrid Laurier University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, Robert Thompson moved to Windsor to complete a Bachelor of Education degree. After receiving his teaching qualifications in senior mathematics and computer science he accepted a teaching position with the Peel District School Board.

The next several years saw Robert teach many levels and subjects at several schools. In addition to teaching Robert continued his studies and completed an Honours Specialist Certification through the University of Toronto. In the spring of 2006 he completed his Masters in Education and was accepted into the PhD program at the University of Toronto.

Following a school visitation of a Montessori school Robert gained and understanding and appreciation for the Montessori method of teaching. He has since completed Montessori teacher training. In September 2000 Robert achieved his dream of establishing his own school. Willowglen School in Oakville now offers Montessori programs to students in preschool through Grade 6.
